I was pregnant with twins, a boy and a girl.
At 26 weeks I went to hospital as i did not feel great at all!
Doctor told me i am having contractions so they gave me steroids (to help develop the twins lungs)
They manage to stay inside for another two weeks. When i was 28 weeks and 3 days my twins were delivered, i was scared and i cried so much because i new its too early for them to be arriving.
My little boy came first weighed 1.2kg and then my little girl came out still in the sack, which the doctor told us its very rare and not something that happens a lot.
So the doctor popped her amniotic sac and she weighed 1.117. I saw them quickly then the pediatrician took them to NICU. I had no idea what was waiting for me when i saw them. Tubes, machines, apnea monitors, and more! I cried when i saw them because it looks so scary to see your small babies lying there with all these tubes!
They were in NICU for 61 days and it was a roller coaster ride! My little girl got NEC of the intestines and we had to stop all feeds and we were back to square one! On and off ventilators! One thing i can say is they are very strong, stronger than we think!
Now they are almost 3 years old
